Movie Night - Numbers Before and After

It is time for a movie night!  Get the popcorn!

This is a game for students to play in a math station.  Simply copy this document on cardstock, cut apart the pieces and laminate.  The students will find the numbers on the film strips that come before and after the number on the camera.  It is a fun and easy way to practice before and after numbers.  This game works on the numbers 0-100.

For extra practice I also included a recording sheet.  Once the students match all of the numbers they can record some of the numbers on this recording sheet.

For this FREEBIE I used clip art from Scrappin Doodles.

Smarty Bees - Numbers Before and After

Today I created a FREEBIE document for before and after numbers.  The students write the number that comes before or after the number given.  This download has two Smarty Bee sheets for the numbers 10-100.  I had to use this adorable bee clipart from scrappin doodles.  :)

Happy Friday!!

Flower Vase

When teaching the letter Vv I love this idea from ShariSloane.  Simply glue a letter V to a piece of paper and let the paint flowers in a vase.  They turn out so cute!  My picture below is one from a student.  So cute!

Missing Number Egg Game

This is a game that focuses on identifying numbers before and after.  The game uses the numbers 0-50.

Students will draw an egg from the pile.  If they correctly say the number that comes before or after they get to keep the card.  If they do not correctly say the number then the egg goes back into the pile.  If the students pull an egg with CRACK then they lose their turn.  The student with the most eggs at the end wins.

For this free game I included a clipart Easter basket to use. You could also put all of the eggs in a real Easter basket. Then the students could draw the eggs out of the basket.

April Foolishness Literacy Pack

Spring is just around the corner and so is April Fool’s Day!  This is such a fun day in the classroom.  I created a literacy packet based on the book April Foolishness by Teresa Bateman.  If you don’t have this book be sure to check it out.  J  It is my favorite April Fools book.

This literacy packet includes reading and writing materials.  The pack includes character pages, a rhyming activity and one writing prompt.  Be sure to check it out for FREE at my TPTstore.

I also wanted to include these very awesome April Fools cupcakes from my favorite food blog Our Best Bites.  They are too funny and perfect for this prompt.  The mashed potato cupcakes are frosting, caramel sauce and a yellow starburst!  I had to share.  :)  Our Best Bites is a GREAT food blog!
