Summer Writing Packet
Today I am posting my final writing packet. This year I have created fall, winter and
spring writing packets. My final writing
packet is….. you guessed it……. a summer writing packet. I created it to use in the classroom at the
end of the year. Included are writing
prompts about camping, fishing, picnics, the beach, a water park and even all
about the kindergarten year.
In this packet you will find three formats to use in your classroom. First I created sentence starter posters. The students write the sentence starter and then fill the words in from the pictures. At the end of the year I would suggest having the students then continue to write on the same topic.

The second set includes sentence starters with
pictures. For this set you can post the
sentence starters and topic pictures with words in pocket charts to display in your
writing station. With this option your
students can remove the topic cards in order to copy.
Third, I included sentence starters with topic
pictures only. For this set I have printed
the sentence starters on the writing paper.
The topic pictures do not include words.
The students can use the pictures to help them think of ideas for their
writing.
Last, I included three end of the year sentence
starters. These pages include sentence
starters for the students to write about their kindergarten year.

Target Dollar Bin to Literacy Freebie
Anyone that knows me is well aware that I have a Target
problem. I LOVE Target! A relaxing day for me is strolling the aisles
at my local Target with a warm Starbucks in my hand. This week while I was looking through the dollar
bin (my favorite place for unexpected finds) I found these adorable magnifying glasses! There were all kinds of cute spring shapes. I couldn’t resist buying this cute bee
one.
I also created a recording sheet for each picture. When the students find a word they will color
the word on their matching recording sheet.
Then they will write the word using a pencil.
If you would like to download this packet simply click on
the cover page below!
I hope you enjoy this freebie! Be sure to look at your local Target for
those cute magnifying glasses. There are
SO many ways to use them in the classroom!!
My mind began racing with all kinds of ways to use it in a
kindergarten classroom. I knew just what
I wanted to do! At this point in the
year it becomes hard to continue to come up with new and fun ways for the kids
to practice their sight words. I also
know that the kids love the I Spy and Where’s Waldo books. So I decided to combine these two ideas for
my “Hiding Sight Words” freebie!
In this packet I created four pictures that have ten sight
words hiding in each picture. The
students will use a small magnifying glass to look for the words hidden in the
pictures.

Nebraska all I keep thinking is spring is near!

This is a fun and active game that would be great for a
station, small group or even as a fun classroom activity to do together in
pairs. You can use it is so many
ways. It will get the kids up and moving
while working on sight words at the same time!
The packet includes forty sight words! Have fun with the sight word bunny hop!!

Spring Writing Packet
Spring is just around the corner! It is still freezing here in Nebraska but I
can see little signs that spring is on its way.
I am hearing more birds chirping in the morning and 45 degrees feels
like short sleeve weather. J
To celebrate I am posting my newest TPT writing packet! This spring writing packet is similar to my
fall writing packet and winter writing packet.
It is easy to print and use for independent writing. Be sure to check it out!

Mitten Missing Numbers 0-125
Today I am posting a missing number freebie! Since the winter weather is still upon us I
used mittens for the clipart. The
students will first put all of the mittens into order on the floor or
table. Then they will use them to help
fill in the missing numbers on their independent missing number page. This would be great to use for independent
practice or small group instruction. I
have included mitten missing number sets for the numbers 0-17, 18-35, 36-53, 54-71, 72-89, 90-107, and
108-125.
